pH of Water
pH (potential Hydrogen) determines whether water is acid or alkaline. pH7 is neutral. The higher the pH, the more oxygen there will be in the water.
Human blood is 90 percent water. Our blood circulates throughout the body distributing nutrients and oxygen and collect9ing wastes and carbon dioxide. Human blood has a pH value ranging from 7.3-7.45. Blood with a pH value of 7.45 contains 64.9 percent more oxygen than the blood with a pH value of 7.3. The pH values of 7.3 and 4.45 seem almost the same, but there is a big difference in the amount of excess oxygen between the two.
Different types of water have different pH values and different counts of excess oxygen. In an attempt to get "pure water" some people promote distillers and reverse osmosis filters (R.O.) They filter out not only contaminants but minerals too. This "pure water" is not healthy. It is dead water. Fish cannot live in it! If ingested over a long period of time it can leach out valuable body minerals - potassium, magnesium, sodium, and calcium. R.O. filtered water with a pH value of 6.8 is deficient in oxygen.
Microwater
The microwater unit is not a filter, although it does filter out chlorine and particles that influence the aesthetics of water.
